FONV: Jared Cavanaugh

Sooooo, some days ago when xenomorphfury161 and I were on a call, talking Fallout stuff, I mentioned this beautiful bosh'tet, but she did not seem to remember him, and I realized that I - despite having this very character since 2012, and having done this sheet months ago already - that I never published it! O.O
So here there be my stupid sexy troubleseeker Jared!

He originally started as my first Courier 6 I played in NV, and from there the character concept developed.
Also his original name was Jared Valentine, but I changed it when Nick Valentine became a thing... XD)

Physical Traits:
Jared is about 181 cm tall, of slender built and male appearance. He is relatively dark skinned with bright green coloured hair, dark brown eyes and - most of the time - a goofy smile on his face.
He has some scars on his face and hands, indicating that he's already been some time out here in the wastes and has certainly seen and dome some things...

Favorite Gear:
Jared does not own any fancy armour. He wears a Vault 34 jumpsuit with the typical Boomer-alterations such as patches, ribbons and bullets as decoration. He prefers to be fast and agile.
His weaponry consists of a healthy intellect, a silenced .22 and a Laser Pistol.

Personality:
Jared is a generally friendly and peaceful character who enjoys to make new contacts and learn about life in the Mojave.
Unlike many other Boomers, he is not particularly xenophobic, but he strongly believes that not everyone outside Nellis is 'a savage'.
He is curious about everything and everyone, and if he is not busy hoarding and analyzing pretty much any tech he can find, he eagerly travels around and sees people and places.
Due to his upbringing in relative isolation, he has an entirely blank and neutral opinion about pretty much anything in the wastes - including factions and (potentially) dangerous situations. Thus he is a character of trial and error, and often ends up in the utmost bizarre situations...
While he may appear goofy and chaotic at first - due to his big mouth and habit of always being mercilessly honest - he still is benevolent and enjoys to help people around him, if he can.

Backstory:
Jared grew up at Nellis AFB within the Boomer society. He used to be best known for his witty nature, big mouth and his never ending curiosity.
He was generally popular among his peers, but also gained the reputation of being some sort of a trouble seeker. It did not take him very long to explore every last inch of Nellis, and - aside of studying historic documents and old military tech - he tended to get easily bored and lose focus on things.
When he was old enough he became one of Loyal's apprentices, and put his tech affinity to a good use actually. He enjoyed his time and provided useful service as a mechanic.
The older he got and the more he managed to educate himself though, the more Jared's curiosity for the outside was sparked - much to most of his peers distaste.
He tried to learn as much as he could about the strange new world outside, which - eventually - led him to a conclusion: The outside world was far more complex, and both threatening AND beneficial than originally thought.
Pointing out that every enclosed society could only maintain itself for so long without technologically falling behind, Jared was the first person to convince Mother Pearl of the use of having eyes and ears (as well as a crafty collector) outside of Nellis.
With a permission to leave, explore and search the Mojave for items of particular value, Jared’s personal big dream became true: He was a pioneer now.
He soon became friends with an Ex-Enclave soldier named Gavin and both traveled together for quite a while. When they eventually freed a teenage slave names Julia their little squad by now had become the closest thing to a family, and they became more and more of an incredibly well working unit that could handle itself more than well in this hostile world; scavenging and fighting their way through the Mojave and boldly going where no one had gone in at least 200 years….

Things however temporarily went downhill, when he took the wrong job, which ended him with a bullet in the head and severe memory loss.
He aimlessly wandered around and did pretty much anything, for pretty much anyone - trying to make the world a better place within his limited concept of how things were meant to be.
Despite the lack of an identity, Jared turned out to be a good person - once again.
He made friends with an Eyebot named ED-E and a scientist named Gannon.
Together they traveled the Mojave for a while, trying to make themself useful wherever they could.
Eventually, Jared once again managed to find his way back to Nellis. By now though, he did not remember any of his former friends or family members.
Mother Pearl understood the gravity of the situation and decided to put him to a test.
Depending on what the wasteland had turned him into, he would either be welcomed (back) or rejected like any other outsider.
Jared though proved to be a helpful and caring ally, which mother Pearl took as a believable proof, that not every wastelander out there was bad.

Jared's OC Companions:

Gavin Frey:
Gavin grew up within the Enclave society of DC and was part of the military engineering corps. When the Enclave was mostly mowed down he and his team traveled from one post to another trying to help their fellow remnants where they could. One day his team’s Vertibird was damaged and crashed, leaving him as the only survivor.
At this point he had no other choice than working with locals in order to survive, and while he never really managed up to warm up for life out here, he at least had come to accept different lifestyles and affiliations.
He eventually decided to make a fresh start however and left DC, heading towards the Mojave where he temporarily lived (and also met Julia and Jared).

Julia Fox:
Julia was born into slavery within the Mojave. She never got to know her own family, and even her name was randomly (and recently) picked by herself and her constantly shifting upheld identities.
When she was thirteen she was sold to a couple who would let their slaves fight each other for both public entertainment as well as caps. Julia - luckily enough - turned out to be good at physical combat despite her age and size, and thus managed to survive long enough to witness the day where two disgusted men - travelers named Gavin and Jared - managed to challenge and overthrow her owners and set her and the other three slaves free.
With Julia neither having any of idea what to do with the concept of freedom nor having anyone to even go to, Gavin decided to take care for her, and eventually even adopted her.
