The Commander... No... Persis.... Narrowed her eyes.
Again she was not entirely sure how to refer to herself - The confusion and her great mental effort to shield her mind against the chaos equally desperate and destructively longing to take control, let her forget minor details: Memories, navigation procedures, her identity...
"I do not think... This will be a very wise idea... The more we are, the easier we spread it's focus... I really do not... Recommend this..."
She gave him a blank look for a second while slowly entering her void ship.

The interior was nothing to be compared to a TT-Capsule - Not even compared to Gallifreyan architecture at all.
It was designed to be minimalistic, simplistic and effective.
Yet like a TT-Capsule the first room they entered was the hemispherical dark, (slightly gone to rack) and designed to easily work with Time Lords - Regardless their level of experience.
In the middle of the room was a chunky - almost bizarre - kind of piloting chair. As soon as a Time Lord took a seat in it, the Void Ship's scanner recognized their DNA and gave the pilot full access through a neural interface. Countless semi-transparent orange holographic viewscreens and menus would pop up around the central chair allowing the pilot to view... Feel... The status, course and process of the void ship.
The more talented or experienced ones - Such as Persis - did not need to rely on the viewscreens anymore though, but simply felt the sensory data and managed to navigate the ship with a well focused thought.
Yet... All the clever and effective technological development was no match for the bond to a TT-Capsule.
Even though a void ship pilot appeared to mentally fuse with the ship to an external spectator, it was nothing more than a very fast exchange of data, and no comparison to the living presence of an actual TT-Capsule.

"...Apart from that I am not sure whether you will be able to instantly steer the Void Ship - The current software settings require my DNA, it might decline you, or freeze while using it... Ever had a system crash while in the middle of some multiversal quantum calibrations? Nooot enjoyable..."
She tilted her head, rolling one eye and trying to ignore the hammering headache. "...Also you might face difficulties keeping up two parallel bonds.
I really would dislike seeing your brain fried... Brain stem barbecue... Reminds me on that one human... The mess was awf... -AWWW!"
She released a painful moarning, then turned around in a half circle, almost running into the Apprentice's TARDIS.
The only factor that prevented this happening was the fact, that Persis... The Commander.. Was able to sense it - Much clearer than she was able to sense the Apprentice or Leen right now.

"I will not allow myself to lose consciousness!" She now demanded in an almost bossy tone.
"Persis Miss Commander is staying awake with us!" Leen shouted happily, flying towards her in a shaky curve, spreading sparkovers every couple of seconds.
It was not that Leen's sphere was damaged - Leen was simply mentally unable to properly navigate it.
With it's people usually sharing a collective Mind, tasks like basic navigation of their spherical capsules was solved via collective processing power.
For one Toclafane, separated from its people, tasks like these were rather very difficult, and hard to solve.
Lacking almost all intellectual potential of it's people, Leen basically was as dull as a head of lettuce - without dressing!
"We welcome the friend of the Persis Miss Commander!" Leen happily announced - Which ironically almost sounded silly, even though Leen was entirely unable to get the concept of humour.

Clutching to the floor, then initiating yet another boost it hovered further towards them.
"We want to push the buttons! The BUTTONS!
There is this red shiny one! We want to press it, but what does it dooo?!"

Without a warning it approached the Commander a bit too close, hitting her forehead and instantly knocking her unconscious.
Leen rolled some more metres towards the Apprentice's TARDIS like a metallic football, confused asking for Persis, but she was already about to enter the beautiful country of disturbing dreams of DOOM...
